Spiteful Webinaring
Mar. 9th, 2021 01:27 pm As you know, gentle readers, I last published with Penguin in 2013, back when they were just Penguin and not Random Penguin or whatever giant conglomeration/multi-headed hydra that they are now.
Technically, though, since they have not yet put all of my titles out of print, I am *officially still a Penguin author. Out of spite, I have determined that I will take whatever advantage still owed me by virtue of this tenuous, but still extant connection. That means that today I am taking part in the Penguin authors exclusive "Author University."
I'm currently skipping how to debut in the pandemic but in approximately a half hour, I'm going to attend a webinar/Zoom panel called "The New Networking: Speaking, Podcasting, LinkedIn and other ways to reach more readers," with Porter Braswell, J. Kelly Hoey, and Laura Vanderkam. Woo. I plan to pop popcorn and stare angrily at the screen, while silently enumerating the wrongs done to me by Penguin USA and its subsidiaries.
I can't think of a better use of my time, can you? :-)
