Unfocused Thoughts, Despite Coffee
Sep. 20th, 2010 10:58 amI'm sure that LJ people who are friends with me are already on top of this, but, I'd like to point you to a very thoughtful response this morning from Jim C. Hines.
Honestly, there have actually been a lot of thoughtful and measured responses. I have resisted weighing in for a number of reasons. Not the least of which is that I don't think that I would be able to as tactfully stay on topic as Jim does. I think the best way to deal with issues like this is to respond only to what was _actually said_, and my response has been very visceral so far and it has also transmutted into something no longer reflecting anything actually said in the original post. For now, I'm going to keep that to myself. I started writing something, but it's so unformed and probably, at the end of the day, just preaching to the choir, anyway.
I need to go home and work on my revisions. I need to clean up the dishes, which are legion, thanks to the fact that we had our nephew over and I made a huge spread. I should work up the energy to go work out, despit the gloomy rain.
